(Dan Tri) – Bournemouth twice took the lead against Man Utd in the match of round 33 of the Premier League, but the `Red Devils` escaped defeat with a controversial 2-2 equalizer from the penalty spot.

Man Utd is still showing extremely poor performance in an important stage of the 2023-24 season.

Even Man Utd’s draw was full of controversy when the away team was awarded a penalty in the middle of the second half in an unclear situation. Thanks to the penalty, Man Utd was able to equalize 2-2 and regain a point.

Bournemouth entered the match strongly at home. Although the home team controlled the ball less than Man Utd, their attacks were much more coherent than the away team.

In the 16th minute, Man Utd lost the ball in the middle of the field. Solanke ran down strongly, overpowered young defender Kambwala, then shot from the top of the penalty area and sent the ball diving into the left corner. Onana fell but could not block it.

Conceding a goal, Man Utd tried to attack but the away team’s ball situations were not sharp, which is not surprising as coach Ten Hag still used the same frame as in many recent matches.

The attack was not good, but Man Utd suddenly equalized in the 31st minute. Bournemouth’s defender blocked Garnacho’s cross, the ball flew right in front of Fernandes and the Portuguese midfielder comfortably shot a shot with the back of the goal.

After being equalized, Bournemouth rushed forward to attack, pressing the away team.

In the final minutes of the first half, Man Utd continued to be pressured.

After the break, coach Ten Hag replaced Garnacho with Diallo. This adjustment did not help Man Utd prosper.

This is a highly controversial situation because after the ball hit Christie, it bounced out and hit Smith’s hand. The Bournemouth player did not intentionally use his hand to play the ball, and the ball’s direction was not directed toward the goal.

Man Utd played well at the end of the match, but the away team almost received a penalty in the last minute of injury time.

With only one point in round 33, Man Utd has 50 points, ranked 7th, equal to the score of the team ranked above Newcastle but lower in sub-index.
