(Dan Tri) – Customers buying high-rise urban cars have another choice: the 2024 Kia Seltos with upgraded equipment, in addition to two products that have received a lot of attention recently from the Hyundai and Mitsubishi brands.

Introduced at the end of March, in early April, the new version of Seltos was available at dealerships.

Seltos 2024 is distributed with 4 versions, starting price 599 million VND.

In the B-size high chassis segment, two cheaper options are MG ZS (538-638 million VND) and Mazda CX-3 (524-644 million VND).

It is also VinFast VF 6 if customers want to buy a pure electric car.

What’s new in Seltos 2024 to compete?

As a mid-life upgrade (facelift), the 2024 Seltos has been significantly upgraded by Kia, but that is to shorten the equipment gap with competitors, not to surpass it.

The significant change comes from the interior, with the use of an electronic handbrake (with Auto Hold) instead of the previous mechanical handbrake.

Other amenities include independent 2-zone air conditioning, remote car start support key (similar to Hyundai Creta), electric driver’s seat with cooling feature, and electric trunk.

In addition to the unsold GT-Line version, the other 3 versions of the Seltos 2024 all use a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 113 horsepower and 144Nm of torque, combined with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Many advanced driving assistance equipment are mentioned by Kia, but in fact they only appear on the Seltos 2024 GT-Line version (no price yet) (Photo: Gia An).

Advanced driving assistance features are also mentioned by Kia on the Seltos 2024, but in fact they mainly appear on the unsold GT-Line version.

So in terms of ADAS, competitors such as Hyundai Creta, Toyota Yaris Cross or Honda HR-V have a more equipped list than the Kia Seltos 2024.

Overall, the 2024 Seltos is newer and more comfortable than the old version – a model introduced in Vietnam since 2020. But faced with a series of competitive products, Kia’s 2024 model no longer really overwhelms the competition.
