(Dan Tri) – Peugeot 408 is a car model designed in a coupe crossover style, with a global distribution plan, so the possibility of being brought to Vietnam in the future cannot be ruled out.

Peugeot has jumped into the hottest segment today – coupe crossover.

The main competitors of Peugeot 408 will be Skoda Octavia and Ford Focus.

Peugeot 408 uses an updated version of the EMP platform that is being used for many models of the French auto brand.

Black plastic cladding on the front bumper, wheel fenders and door base creates a sporty, solid look for the car.

Peugeot 408 currently only has a gasoline engine version and a plug-in hybrid version.

Peugeot has not yet announced parameters about the distance the car can run with only the electric motor.

Charging time for the 12.4 kWh battery pack with the standard 3.7 kW charging system is 3 hours 50 minutes, but with the 7.4 kW charging system the time reduces to 1 hour 55 minutes.

Peugeot said it will add a pure electric version later.

Regarding safety equipment, the Peugeot 408 has anti-rollover systems, such as active cruise control with `Stop and Go` feature, 360-degree parking support with 4 cameras.
